This database is the outcome of the collaboration of European Social Partners in the Live Performance sector – namely Pearle*Live Performance Europe on the employer’s side, and the European Arts and Entertainment Alliance (International Federation of Actors, International Federation of Musicians and the Media, Entertainment & Arts sector of UNI Europa) on the workers’ side.
In 2024, European Social Partners in Live Performance ran a survey targeted at national social partners in the sector across Europe to identify existing collective bargaining agreements, social dialogue initiatives, and success stories of social partners at the national level.
The database also complements and ties into activities of the European social partners in relation to up- and re-skilling, to gender equality, and to health and safety (risk assessment tools).
The online database is divided into two parts.
Mapping of collective agreements
The first part of the database focuses on collective bargaining agreements in European countries, at the national, sectoral, or company level, between national social partners in their respective countries. They can be filtered by social partners, countries, and topics that they address.
The second part of the database focuses on either joint or unilateral initiatives by national social partners in the live performance sector. They demonstrate the wide range of areas in which social partners are actively involved: skills & training, health and safety, pensions, counselling, information provisions, toolkits, working conditions, and more.
The database highlights the sheer variety of initiatives social partners undertake for the benefit of the sector. Even users of such sectoral services may not be aware of the social partner activity that underpins them. The database offers insight into the sheer variety of actions and agreements put in place by trade unions and employers associations to the benefit of those active in the sector.
❗Disclaimer: the database is the result of voluntary input by national social partners to the survey. That being the case, it is not a totally comprehensive overview of all collective agreements, initiatives, topics, and national social partner initiatives. It should also be noted that some collective agreements have expiry dates and will be, or already are being, re-negotiated at the time of publication (June 2025). However, this database is a living tool and a constant work in progress. It remains open to additions, updates, and adjustments upon submission.
If you are a national social partner in the live performance sector, and you wish to submit one or more collective agreements or social partner initiatives at national, sectoral, or company level in your country for inclusion in the database, please fill in the following form.
New entries to the database will be added following endorsement by the European social partner secretariats.
